Broadcast and Duplication Policies for Milner-Fenwick Videos and DVDs
All Milner-Fenwick patient education videos and DVDs are sold for use on a single videocassette or DVD player, over a single TV monitor or computer screen. They may not be broadcast in any manner including but not limited to any type of CCTV or video-on-demand system, television or cable system, web, internet or intranet system without a licensing agreement approved by Milner-Fenwick. The client must purchase a copy of the program(s) for an additional fee as stipulated by Milner-Fenwick before the client may use the program(s) for broadcast.
The standard license fee is $95 per title for a period of five years.

The standard license fee provides you with broadcast rights for five years. This applies to systems that are capable of delivering from one to sixteen channels of programming simultaneously. (Additional fees apply for more than 16 channels. Please inquire.)
The customer is authorized to broadcast the licensed programs within a single building as specified in the standard agreement and to make one preservation copy of each licensed program. The license is contingent upon the customer completing and signing Milner-Fenwick's standard digital license agreement which specifies the complete terms and limitations of use and the rates for renewal. The standard fee does not include additional fees for supplying the actual video and/or digital encoded files for a digital system and the use of outside vendors to convert the videos to digital files is subject to the approval of Milner-Fenwick.
The customer is authorized to broadcast the licensed programs within a single building as specified in the standard agreement and to make one digitally encoded copy for each program that is licensed for use over their digital system. The license is contingent upon the customer completing and signing Milner-Fenwick's standard digital license agreement which specifies the complete terms and limitations of use and the rates for renewal. The standard fee does not include additional fees for supplying the actual video and/or digital encoded files for a digital system and the use of outside vendors to convert the videos to digital files is subject to the approval of Milner-Fenwick.
The standard license fee per title is $95 which provides you with broadcast rights for five years. This fee applies to video analog systems only (broadcast by a centralized videocassette player or system) and is limited to broadcasting the licensed programs within a single building as specified in the standard agreement. For preservation purposes only, the customer is authorized to make one identical video (analog) copy of each program that is licensed for use over their CCTV system. A second working copy may be recorded from the master copy only after the previous copy is either erased or destroyed. The license is contingent upon the customer completing and signing Milner-Fenwick's standard CCTV license agreement which specifies the complete terms and limitations of use.
Rights for showing videos on other systems including but not limited to commercial, pay-per-view, multi-site transmissions, cable or educational television or over local area network, internet and intranet systems, in whole or part, are not included with the sale of any program from Milner-Fenwick. Information on clearance rights and rate quotations are available on request.
Videos cannot be duplicated unless a separate license is granted in writing from Milner-Fenwick. Any violation will constitute an infringement of Milner-Fenwick's copyrights and shall be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Upon termination of any license agreement, the customer agrees to cease broadcast of all licensed videos and to destroy all video and digital copies on file. Customer agrees to take reasonable action to restrict circulation of video copies and to allow Milner-Fenwick the right to a site audit to ensure that the use of the broadcast use is in compliance with the licensed terms.
Many video titles are available in closed captioned and Spanish language versions.
Selected Milner-Fenwick titles licensed for home use may not be used within a public institution. Please inquire about videos that carry the 'home use only' designation and request a fact sheet about your rights and limitations.
