The Gastroenterology Teaching Project

Viral Hepatitis - 2nd Edition

CTP 3        98 slides         $150
This unit provides a broad range of new and updated information about the biology, natural history, and prevention of the five etiologic forms of viral hepatitis. It includes 40 new slides and 22 revised slides. Legends have been revised, where appropriate, and new references have been cited. New information is presented on Hepatitis C and Hepatitis E, the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis, and the use of liver transplantation in the management of fulminant hepatitis. The virologic and serologic features of the known clinical sequelae, and current recommendations for immunoprophylaxis and other strategies for prevention are presented. The histopathologic lesions of acute viral hepatitis, fulminant hepatitis, chronic hepatitis, and hepatocellular carcinoma are illustrated with photomicrographs.

"This is an excellent update to the previous edition of the slide set. It should be part of every hepatologist's slide collection and each GI division's library.
